I joined Special Olympics Pakistan in 1990. For 15 years I enjoyed playing many sports. Many of my friends got selected for different World Games. Since I was quite weak—my turn never came. I didn’t loose hope. When Alps started in 2001 I was the first Global Messenger and Asst-Coach. My speech coach Daulat, and my family got the best out of me. My first experience was in front of 3000 people at a Family Network Program.. Where the Management was getting stage fright—I spoke like a born speaker. People had never heard an athlete speak on stage.

The ‘ Alps’ became” The Talk of the Town”. Every special school wanted their athletes to join the Training. Over the years I was invited to speak to the Media and at many events

To my joy I was invited to the 2006 International Cricket Tournament in India where I spoke to a packed stadium, and to Jakarta at the “Building for the Future “Conference.

Sometime later I won the Lottery!!!. I had been selected as an Asia Pacific IGM. My patience had paid off.!!!! I had made my Program, Family, Friends, and Pakistan proud of me.

During my training in Washington it was great to meet the other IGMS and learn about different countries and their people which left many happy memories. We were lucky to have Kathryn, David and Dave to train us. They taught us how to have a positive outlook at every situation

My dream come true was meeting our Founder Mrs. Eunice Kennedy Shriver and her dynamic son Tim. What a thrill it was when during our training – it started to snow. We were all sent out to enjoy it as it was a “ First Time “ for many of us and we had lots of fun playing in it

  
     
 
As an IGM I was invited to the following places:-

China Summer World Games 2007 : I spoke at the opening with over 70,000 people in the stadium and millions watching TV around the world. I also met the President of Philippines and many Celebrities.

 Singapore Conference- 2008
   
04.
Idhao-USA- World Winter Games - 2009: Our last meeting of the IGM”s and Mentors- We exchanged gifts, happy memories and made life long friendships.

In Pakistan I took part in the following:-

Meeting with the Acting Prime Minister of Pakistan for promoting employment along with the World Games Team.

Spoke to Media, Rotary Clubs, Schools and at International Day of Disabled People.

Assisted in launch of MATP, Young Athletes, SO Get Into It, and Unified Sports.

Took active part in ALPs Workshops, and visited Special Schools for Growth of ALPs Athletes-

MC at a massive launch of “Network of Organizations for People with Disabilities “at the Aga Khan University Hospital to promote awareness and employment.

A find Raiser Musical Concert “Mamma Mia “performed for 15 nights. I introduced Special Olympics and spoke of my achievements along with 10 athletes. I was able to reach out to packed audiences daily from all walks of life.

  
     
 

My aim has always been to promote employment towards independence.
I was able to speak to Government Officials, Heads of Large Organizations and the Media..
Today many athletes have jobs with reasonable salaries – some have got married.
People have yet to see all our talents. Thanks to ALPs I had so many opportunities besides sports.
