Mohammad Yaisr from Pakistan is 25 years and born in a poor family with multiple disabilities.
Unable to walk or speak clearly. His family had no hope. People made fun of him. Once he joined Special Olympics Pakistan has luck changed. After regular training his health & speech improved. He made friends & gained confidence.
He participated in athletics & cricket and won many medals. At the 2006 Asia Pacific Cricket Tournament in India he was awarded “Best Bowler of the Tournament” . Today he is part of the Athlete Leadership Program (ALPs). He was encouraged to travel alone and assist in the Special Olympics office. His job includes handling guests, Answer phone calls, pay bills at the bank, go to the post office, do shopping & serve refreshments during meeting & workshops and assist in filing. His family were thrilled at his independence and happy for him since he is able to earn a salary on his own. He is very punctual and hard working, always with a smile and ready to tackle anything that comes his way.
